Availability and time off
Tell your manager when you can work each week, block out dates, and ask for days off, from the crew portal or by messaging the bot.
Your manager plans shifts around when you say you can work. Keeping your availability current means fewer shifts you have to turn down. There are two ways to do it: a short form on your phone, or a message to your team's Telegram bot.
Your weekly availability form
Your team may send you a link every Sunday evening asking for next week's availability, with a reminder a couple of days later if you have not answered yet. You can also open the form any time from the crew portal with Update availability.
Set your hours for each day
Add one or more time blocks per day. The presets Morning, Afternoon, Evening and All day fill a day in one tap.
Or fill the week at once
Under Quick set: Same as last week, Same as my usual (when your manager has saved usual hours for you), All week, All weekdays or All weekend. Clear starts over.
Block out dates
Under Blocked dates, add any dates you cannot work at all (a trip, an appointment) with an optional reason.
Add a note and submit
Anything else? is for anything your manager should know. Press Submit availability.
At the bottom, Share profile details with my employer controls whether your manager sees profile fields like your birthdate, home address and emergency contact. Your availability is always shared.
Change your availability by message
Message the bot in your own words:
- "I'm available tomorrow from 2 to 8."
- "I can't work Saturday."
- "Block me out from the 14th to the 18th."
- "Unblock next Friday."
- "Copy last week's availability to next week."
The bot only ever changes your own availability, never anyone else's.
Ask for time off
From the crew portal, press Request time off.
Pick the kind
PTO / Vacation and Personal day need your manager's approval. A Sick day is approved straight away, and your manager gets a heads-up. Other is for anything else; explain it in the note.
Choose the dates
Set the Start date and End date, and add a reason if you like.
Submit
Press Submit request (or Submit and mark me sick for a sick day).
You get a Telegram message as soon as your manager approves or declines. Your recent requests are listed under the form with their status. A request you no longer need can be withdrawn with its withdraw button.
You can also just tell the bot: "I need next Monday and Tuesday off for a family trip."
If a link stops working
Availability and time-off links are personal. If one says Link unavailable, ask your manager to send a fresh one, or open the forms from your crew portal (send /portal to the bot to get a new portal link).
