Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions operators ask most, from calendar edits that change back to a bot that does not recognize someone.

Calendar

I edited an event and it changed back. Why?

Someone changed the same event in Google Calendar after your edit, and Google's version won. CurbsideOps never overwrites a newer change in Google; instead it raises a flag called Your edit was replaced so you can re-apply anything that still matters. See Calendar not updating.

Why can't I change the time of some events?

Those events are on a calendar your Google account can only view, such as a feed someone else publishes. They show a Read-only in Google badge. You can still assign crew, track the job, record sales and save contact details. The time, place and deleting have to be changed in Google by someone who can edit that calendar.

Will disconnecting Google Calendar delete my events?

No. Events already in CurbsideOps stay as your booking records. Changes you make while disconnected are saved and delivered to Google once you reconnect.

The event list shows different crew than the event description in Google. Which is right?

The list. Crew and trucks shown in CurbsideOps come from your actual assignments. The Staff Assigned and Equipment lines in the Google description are a copy that can lag a little, and never updates on a calendar you can only view.

Can one Google account cover two brands?

Yes. Connect it once and choose All brands. Each event then belongs to the brand named on its Brand: line. Connecting the same account separately for a second brand is refused. See Connect Google Calendar and Gmail.

Telegram and the assistant

The bot says "I don't recognize you yet."

That Telegram account is not linked. Open the link from setup (or the one your manager texted) and press the Start button. Typing a message does not link you. See Telegram not replying.

A crew member did not get a morning briefing.

Crew only get a briefing on days they are assigned to an event, so a day off means no message. If they should have had one, check that they are on the event and that their Telegram is linked on the roster.

The briefing arrives at the wrong time.

It follows your business's time zone. Check it under Settings, then Business Settings, and the Send at time on the Morning Briefing automation.

The bot replied that it is "temporarily unavailable".

The assistant is paused for the whole account, most often because the AI Credits for this period are used up. The owner gets a separate message explaining what to do. Crew only ever see the neutral reply. See AI Credits.

How do I rename the assistant?

Open Integrations, pick Telegram, and change What your crew calls it. The bot's @handle stays the same.

Email and inbox

Why didn't the inbox draft a reply to this email?

Drafts are only written when it is the customer's turn: if the newest message in the conversation is yours, there is nothing to reply to yet. A catering conversation whose brand is unclear also waits until you pick the brand. See Inbox.

Account

Do I need a card for the trial?

No. The 14-day trial has every Premium feature on and needs no card. You choose a plan at the end.

Why is a page in the sidebar locked?

It belongs to a plan or add-on you do not have yet. The label beside it says which, and clicking it opens Plan & Billing. See Plans and add-ons.

How do I let support look at my account?

The owner can turn on Allow support access under Settings, then Business Settings, in the Support access section. It turns off by itself after 24 hours, and every visit is listed there. Or email support@curbsideops.com.

Still stuck? Email support@curbsideops.com or use Report an Issue in the portal. Checked against CurbsideOps 1.105.4.
