Your AI assistant

The assistant in your Telegram bot and on the portal's Ask tab: what it can do for owners and crew, and where its answers come from.

All plans

Your assistant is the part of CurbsideOps you talk to. You reach it two ways:

  • In Telegram, by messaging your bot. This is where you and your crew use it most, and where it sends briefings, reminders and notification cards.
  • In the portal on your phone, by tapping Ask in the middle of the tab bar. It opens a chat sheet over the page you are on, with suggested questions that match that page.

Ask in plain words, the way you would text a manager: "What's on tomorrow?", "How long from the warehouse to the Riverside Elementary event?", "How did we do last weekend?".

Answers come from your data

The assistant does not guess. It looks things up every time:

  • Schedule from your calendar, including which truck and crew each event has.
  • Sales from Square and from the same reports you see in the portal.
  • Weather and forecasts for the actual event address.
  • Drive times measured with real routing, never estimated.
  • Your crew: who is assigned, who is available, who asked for time off.
  • Customers, leads and invoices from your records.

When something is missing, for example an event with no truck on it, it says so rather than filling the gap. Figures are quoted as the reports show them.

Double-check the important things

AI answers can be imperfect. Before you act on a time or a total that matters, glance at the portal page it came from.

Owners and crew get different assistants

Owners (and managers) get the full assistant: schedule, sales and reports, invoices, fleet locations, customers and leads, crew scheduling, permits, marketing images, and sending texts or emails on your behalf when you ask. Before it sends anything to a customer or crew member, the recipient has to come from your records or from your own message; it never invents a phone number or an email address.

Crew members get an assistant that only knows about their own work: their shifts, directions and drive times, weather at their stops, their tasks and packing list, the menu, and their own availability and time off. Crew never see sales, other people's schedules or anything about your account. See Telegram for crew.

Managers without access to finances get the same assistant minus the money: sales, invoices and costs are left out. See Managers and permissions.

It works while you are busy

Send a message and you usually get a quick acknowledgement first, then the full answer a few seconds later. Some requests, like an event poster, take a few minutes; the assistant tells you it started and delivers the result in the chat when it is ready.

You can also send a voice note instead of typing. Turn on Enable voice replies under Settings, then Business Settings, then Voice replies, if you want it to answer a voice note with a spoken reply.

AI Credits

Each answer uses a small amount of AI Credits from your plan's monthly allowance, and so do briefings, drafted replies and images. If the account runs out, the assistant pauses new requests until credits are added, and the owner is told how to add more in Plan & Billing. Crew only see that the assistant is unavailable for now. See AI Credits.
