Commands and buttons

The few Telegram commands your bot understands, the buttons on its messages, and how notification cards are laid out.

All plans

Almost everything you do with the assistant is plain conversation. A handful of commands and buttons exist for things that should be one tap.

Commands

CommandWhoWhat it does
/startAnyoneUsed by the one-tap link that connects a Telegram account. You do not type it yourself: the link fills it in.
/portal (also /me or /mylink)Owners and crewSends you a fresh link to your own crew portal page. Each new link replaces the last one.
/refer (also /invite)Owners, when Refer & earn is on for your accountSends your referral link with a ready-to-forward message.

Anything else you type, including "send me my portal link", goes to the assistant as a normal message.

Suggestion buttons

Many answers end with buttons that suggest a next question, such as "What's the weather at our next event?". Tap one and it is sent as if you had typed it. The welcome message you get when you finish setup works the same way.

Buttons on notifications

Some messages carry buttons that act right away, without a conversation:

MessageButtons
A shift assignment or change (crew)Got it confirms you saw it; I have a conflict tells your manager. Not tapping is fine: the shift still stands.
A time-off request (owners)Approve or Decline. The crew member is told the outcome and the buttons disappear so nobody taps twice.
A new catering inquiry (owners, catering inbox)Save to Gmail drafts puts the drafted reply in your Gmail as a draft; it never sends. Skip sets it aside.
A deposit was paid (owners)Book it: add to calendar, or Book it and notify customer. Tapping again is safe; it never books twice.
After an event (crew)Submit Event Report opens the report form, or All good and Had issues when no form is set up.
A birthday or work anniversary (owners)Send greeting sends a ready-made note to that crew member; Skip does nothing.
A rebooking check (owners)Prev, Next and View all page through past customers worth a check-in; Draft check-in asks the assistant to draft the email. Nothing is sent to a customer.
A post draft (AI Marketing)Publish to social, Schedule, Regenerate, Tweak, Skip this event. See Marketing requests.
Marketing ideas (AI Marketing)Make turns an idea into a draft; Not now dismisses it.

Only the owner can use buttons that change the business, such as approving time off or booking an event. If a crew member taps one, nothing happens.

Notification cards

Scheduled notifications (reminders, digests, summaries) all share one layout so they are quick to read on a phone:

  1. A bold title with an icon, saying what the card is about.
  2. One line of shared facts, such as the date or the brand, said once instead of on every line.
  3. Short items, one per event, job or person, with the name in bold.
  4. More detail, when there is any, tucked into a quote block you tap to expand.
  5. Buttons, usually one, that open the exact page in the portal where you act on it, for example a job opened straight to its closeout step.

Codes and internal values are always translated into plain words before they reach your phone.

Where to turn messages on or off

Each scheduled message is an automation with its own switch and time. See Automations and The morning briefing.
