Calendar not updating
How CurbsideOps and Google Calendar stay in sync, and what to do when an edit is overwritten, refused or slow to appear.
CurbsideOps keeps its own copy of your Google Calendar. That copy is what the Schedule page, the assistant and the morning briefing read, so they keep working even if Google is briefly unreachable. Keeping the two in step runs in both directions:
- Your changes in CurbsideOps are saved instantly and delivered to Google in the background, usually within moments.
- Changes made in Google are picked up about every 15 minutes.
Your Google Calendar
Where your bookings live. Anything you add in Google shows up in CurbsideOps.
CurbsideOps copy
A working copy of every event. Edits save here first, so the portal updates instantly.
Portal, bot and crew
Schedule, Today, Dispatcher, morning briefings and the assistant all read the same copy.
Calendars you can only view (for example a franchisor's feed) are read, never written.
Check the sync status
On the Schedule page, the cloud icon in the toolbar shows the sync state at a glance. Click it for details:
| Icon | Means |
|---|---|
| Plain cloud | Synced with Google Calendar, with the time of the last sync. |
| Cloud with an arrow, amber count | Some of your changes are waiting to sync. This is normal right after an edit. |
| Red warning | Some changes could not sync to Google Calendar. See what didn't save lists each one. |
| Crossed-out cloud | Google Calendar is disconnected. You are seeing your local copy. |
Sync now fetches the latest from Google straight away instead of waiting for the next pull.
An event changed in Google is not showing yet
Wait a few minutes or press Sync now. Changes made in Google arrive on the next pull, about every 15 minutes. Only timed events appear on the schedule; all-day entries are hidden.
My edit was overwritten
If someone changes the same event in Google after you edited it in CurbsideOps, Google's version wins. CurbsideOps does not fight over it. Instead you get a flag, Your edit was replaced, saying what was lost so you can re-apply anything that still matters.
This happens most with a calendar that another system also writes to, for example a franchisor or booking tool that regularly republishes its events.
A change was not saved to Google
The flag Change not saved to Google means Google refused it. Open Flags and use the button on the card:
- If the connected Google account can only read that calendar, make the change in Google with an account that can edit it, or ask the calendar's owner for edit access.
- Otherwise press Try again. If it fails the same way, check the Google connection on the Integrations page.
Read-only calendars
Events on a calendar shared with you for viewing only show Read-only in Google. CurbsideOps never tries to change their time or place. You can still assign crew, track the job, record sales and save the contact details; those stay in CurbsideOps and do not need Google at all.
"Google account can't see your calendar"
This flag means events on some calendars will stop syncing because the connected account no longer has access to them. Share those calendars with the Google account you connected, or reconnect with the account that owns them.
Google is disconnected or expired
When the sign-in expires, a warning appears on Today and the connection shows Sign in again on the Integrations page.
Reconnect
Open Settings, then Integrations, pick Google Calendar and press Reconnect. Sign in with the same Google account and leave every box ticked.
Let it catch up
Changes you made while disconnected are delivered to Google, and the latest from Google is pulled in.
If Google says the account is already connected for another brand, connect it once with All brands instead.
